AIR is growing — and we’re building a committed team of volunteers who want to help power local radio properly.

While we offer opportunities across presenting, production, sport commentary, technical support and live events on AIR Xtra, our biggest focus right now is strengthening our local news and community reporting team.

News & Community Roles

We are actively looking for:

News Researchers
Helping identify, check and develop stories from across Weymouth, Portland and Dorset. Monitoring local updates, supporting interviews and helping us deliver accurate, responsible bulletins.

Community Reporters
Attending events, speaking to local people, recording audio, covering matches and bringing real Dorset voices to air.

Strong local journalism is at the heart of what we’re building — and we want volunteers who understand the responsibility and impact that comes with that.

Other Opportunities
