Works begin on new AIR 1072 studios as launch date approaches
Work has officially started on the new AIR 1072 studios over the weekend, as the team pushes ahead with plans to get the station fully operational by mid March.
Director Jamie Lyones, alongside builder Jack Reece, has been hard at work preparing the space, overseeing the build and technical setup as the project gathers pace.
The team are aiming to have the studio up and running within weeks, marking a significant milestone for the station. Installation and fit-out work is now underway, with equipment being put in place as part of the transformation.
Speaking about the progress, the team said they are focused on ensuring everything is ready for broadcast by the target date of the middle of March.
