Dorset Council is supporting and encouraging people to take part in a survey by Ageing Without Children

Dorset Council is supporting and encouraging people to take part in a survey by Ageing Without Children (AWOC). Ageing Without Children is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting and advocating for people who are ageing without the support of adult children. The charity is currently reviewing its strategy and priorities for the next four years and is running a short survey to gather experiences and views.

 

As part of their Age-friendly Dorset work, Dorset Council is encouraging people to respond to the five questions being asked. The survey closes on 6 March.

  • Spa road to remain closed

    A busy road in Weymouth is set to remain closed for almost three weeks while essential works are carried out. Spa Road has been closed between its junctions with Dorchester Road and Radipole Park Drive to allow SGN (Southern Gas Networks) to safely carry out works in the area. The project will be completed in stages, with Spa Road scheduled to remain closed from March 2 until March 20.

  • Landslip at popular Weymouth beach

    A landslip has occurred at a popular Weymouth beach following ongoing warnings about unstable cliffs in west Dorset. Parts of the cliff base at Bowleaze Cove have fallen away, leaving areas of soft mud along the seafront. Residents are being urged to keep a safe distance from the affected area when walking along the beach.
