Police investigating an assault in Weymouth are asking for help identifying two people. The incident happened in St Alban Street near the junction with East Street on a Saturday afternoon in March. A woman in her twenties suffered facial injuries and a man in his twenties was also assaulted. Officers have released CCTV images as part of the investigation. Police have released CCTV images as part of an investigation into an assault in Weymouth town centre.
The incident happened at about 5.10pm on 14 March 2026 in St Alban Street near the junction with East Street, where officers say a woman in her 20s was punched and suffered injuries to her face.
A man in his 20s was also assaulted during the same incident, according to Dorset Police, and enquiries are continuing as officers gather information about what happened at the scene.
Investigating officers have now issued CCTV images of a man and a woman they would like to identify as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police Constable Joe Garrard said officers are asking for help from the public after reviewing available footage linked to the incident.
He said the images have been released as part of the investigation and urged anyone who recognises the individuals to come forward and contact Dorset Police with information that may assist enquiries.
