Weymouth’s Mayor has hosted a civic service to recognise local volunteers and organisations. The event took place at Holy Trinity Church on Sunday. Councillors, youth representatives and groups including the RNLI and Salvation Army attended. The service was an opportunity to give thanks for work supporting the community.

The service took place on Sunday 12 April at Holy Trinity Church.
Councillors, representatives from local organisations and members of the Youth Council attended the event.
Groups present included the RNLI, the Salvation Army in Weymouth and Portland and Weldmar Hospicecare.
The service is an annual opportunity for the Mayor to give thanks to those who support the community.
Mayor of Weymouth Councillor Caroline Nickinson led the event.
Organisers say the service highlights the contribution made by volunteers and community groups across the town.
